CANDLE WAX REFILLS

Refills come in two sizes; Small (170g) or Large (260g) for burn times of 35hrs or 55hrs respectively. They come carefully wrapped in wax paper and are packed in a recyclable kraft box.

Unsure if your Amavasya jar is small or large? Measure the top diameter to find out.

Small: 7.5cm

Large: 8.5cm

Once your original candle has burnt through: remove lid, and place jar in the freezer for an hour. Remove jar, and the remaining wax will pop out easily.

Alternatively, place the jar in direct sunlight, or use a hair dryer to soften wax. Pull out the wick tab, and using a paper towel, wipe away any remaining wax. 

Next, pop in your new refill, and you’re good to go!

Note: rarely, there can be a slight variation between jar shapes. If so, we recommend warming up your jar before placing the refill in, to guarantee a perfect fit. 

Initial burn should be at least one hour, or as much time as is required for the melt pool to cover the entire candle surface. This ‘imprinting’ process will encourage an even burn for the candle's lifetime. 

Following each burn, trim the wick down (use a wick trimmer, scissors or nail clippers), to approx 3 mm. Remove char from wick before re-lighting. 

Note: each candle refill has been intentionally moulded to fit the shape of Amavasya candles, not other glassware.

They are not pillar candles, and must be burnt within a jar.
